Welcome to MetisOnline!

My name is Darcey and I was born in the Swan River Valley in Manitoba and raised north of the 54th in Thompson, Manitoba. I've worked and traveled all across Canada and the United States and in the process was exposed to many different ideas then what I grew up with.

Many people know me through my former website Dust my Broom which now exists solely for my Friday Night Blues show. After a lot of thought I figured it was time to move beyond mere blogging at the broom and create a site where I could funnel my thoughts through Metis eyes.

In July 2010 I had of all things a stroke, and so some of my pablum is reflective of the big changes that have come into my life as I walk along the path to recovery.

I like long walks in the forest and conscientious logic.
